Houten is een fijne plek. De mensen zijn vriendelijk en iedereen is welkom. Deze solidariteitsactie is om te laten zien aan bewoners en mensen op de vlucht dat wij er voor ze zijn. Door nu samen te komen, maken we de weg vrij voor alle mensen die het met ons eens zijn. We geven ze de moed om zich ook met menselijkheid uit te spreken.

We hebben allemaal moeite onze boodschappen te betalen en een betaalbare woning te vinden. We zouden ons moeten verenigen en de echte schuldige aan moeten wijzen, de afbraakpolitiek van Balkenende en Rutte die onze sociale voorzieningen hebben afgebroken. Mensen op de vlucht zijn niet de boosdoener of de oorzaak van deze problemen. Blijven we toestaan dat haat en intolerantie de norm worden in onze straten? Nee! Door hier samen aanwezig te zijn, laten we zien dat onze buurt een plek is van respect, veiligheid en solidariteit voor iedereen.

Houten is a wonderful place! The people are friendly and everyone is welcome. This solidarity gathering is to show residents and refugees that we support them and are here for you. By standing together, we pave the way for all those who agree with us. We give them the courage to speak out for humanity.

We all struggle to afford groceries and to find affordable housing. We should unite and point the finger at the real culprit: the destructive policies of Balkenende and Rutte, who have dismantled our social services. People fleeing countries are not the cause of these problems we face.

Will we continue to allow hate and intolerance to become the norm on our streets? No! Together we show that our neighborhood is a place of respect, safety and solidarity for everyone.

Refugees are welcome, and so are you!
