Nakba-manifestatie

Why Palestinians Commemorate the Nakba and Why You Should Join Them.
Every year, Palestinians commemorate the Nakba, or "Catastrophe," marking the violent ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of over 750,000 Palestinians and the colonisation of Palestine by the Zionists in 1948. But the Nakba is not just a historical event, it is an Ongoing Nakba. For 77 years, Palestinians have lived under brutal occupation, apartheid, and systematic oppression by Zionist forces seeking to erase their identity, culture, and homeland.
Now more than ever, the Palestinian people are enduring the most extreme phase of this ongoing Nakba. In Gaza, they are facing an outright genocide, carried out with impunity. Hospitals bombed, families wiped out, entire neighborhoods turned to rubble. The world is witnessing a genocide and a modern-day Nakba, and silence is complicity.
Join us on May 15th at 18:00 at Domplein, Utrecht, to commemorate the Nakba and stand against the Genocide of the Palestinian people.
