On November 1st the Dutch government is launching the Shaping Feminist Foreign Policy conference, committing to place “equal rights and equality for everyone” at the center of the policy.

But this has not been our experience in the past 15 days. This government has been and is continuing to unequivocally support Israel’s vicious and deadly attack on Gaza, killing thousands of civillians including 3000 children.

It’s not just the genocide in Gaza that the Dutch government is complying with, but also the kidnapping of more than 4500 Palestinian civillians in the westback accompanied by vicious daily street violence of zionist settlers.

As feminists and queer humans, we reject this incoherence.

No feminist policy is valid if it excludes suffering of Palestenians. The Dutch government cannot continue to support genocide, siege, and apartheid while claiming to have a feminist foreign policy, and ironically enough hosting the conference in the same city as the International Criminal Court, where Israel should be charged for all the warcrimes it is committing.
